Finvalia Industry 4.0. Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development
Project
Finvalia aims to contribute to the transformation of the value chain of the engineered wood industry by developing Artificial Intelligence-based technologies that enable advancements in digitization, traceability, efficiency, and sustainability of the manufacturing, commercialization, and reuse processes of engineered wood.
The project proposes the development of solutions for the management, control, and optimization of increasingly complex processes that require new knowledge and tools for handling large volumes of data and information.
Finvalia is promoted by a consortium of four companies: Couceiro, Foresa, Puertas Vales, and Finsa. The project involves the participation of technological centers, universities, and primarily Galician companies.
In October 2023, work began on the design, execution, and demonstration of 25 pilots across six action lines: Cybersecurity, Maintenance, Logistics, Sustainability, Market, and Production. Activities will continue until September 2026 in the factories and centers that the companies have in Santiago, Ourense, Padrón, Rábade, Cambre, Aranga, and Caldas de Reis.
Project IN854A 2023/05. FINVALIA. Digital transformation of the manufacturing and commercialization processes of sustainable engineered wood based on artificial intelligence, subsidized by the Axencia Galega de Innovación of the Xunta de Galicia and co-financed by the European Union-European Regional Development Fund.
